Edith Mae Gary went to be with her Savior, the Father God Almighty, on March 29, 2019. She was born March 26, 1951 unto Willie Gary and Elizabeth Goode in Washington, DC. Throughout her formative years growing up, Edy, as she liked to be called, was always known as a tough minded, strong willed young woman. She attended many universities after graduating high school, which ultimately landed her in the field of computer programming as a career.
Upon accomplishing some of her goals at that time, she then decided to turn her attention to a much more rewarding field, her service to the Lord. She had always been in love with God as a young child and as she grew and matured it became evident her calling was the Him than herself.
Even though she embarked onto another journey in Clinical Research, in which she retired from, her spreading of God’s word and His love was a forefront of her life. Edy was never too busy, too tired or too sleepy, (cause she liked to sleep) to help anyone for any reason. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Preceding her are her mother Elizabeth Gary, brother Carl Gary and sister Sheila Gary. She is survived by her son Maurice Gary, daughter-in-law Wanda Gary, son Marcus Gary, sisters Brenda Darby, Yvonne Gary, Machanda Payton, Karen Stephens, Cynthia Gary and brother Thel Gary. Edy is survived by her grandchildren Ashley Hudson, Jazmen Gary, Jair Ayala, Amya Brown, Jevon Ayala and great grandchildren Brynn and Blayre Hudson and Uriah Gary along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friend and loved ones.
