Edward G. Sellers

Ed was a Charlotte native and was very proud of North Carolina and its history. He graduated from NC State University and worked for many years as a professional engineer. He was known to his family and friends as “BIG E”. He loved his family dearly and was very loyal to them. They will all miss him tremendously, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife Nell Sellers and his second wife Doris Sellers.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his sons Tim Sellers and wife Charlene and Steve Sellers and wife Crystal; grandchildren Steve Sellers and wife Niki, Mary Ann Wilmer and husband Chip, Will Sellers, AJ Sellers and Charlie Sellers; great grandchildren Luke and JD Wilmer; brother Charlie Sellers and wife Carolyn; sister Ruth Boyce and husband Bill and brother Phil Sellers and wife Julia.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte followed by a funeral service to celebrate Ed’s life at 11:00. Burial will be private in Sharon Memorial Park.
