Eileen Lewis Dabbs

Born in March of 1948 in Selma, Alabama, she was the daughter of Lyndon Randolph Lewis and Mirain Ammons Lewis. She and her brother, Lane Lewis, lived in numerous cities and multiple countries while their father was enlisted in the US Air Force. She was raised in a loving Cristian household.

Eileen attended Florida State University before beginning a career in the emerging field of computer programming. She spent the majority of her career as a programmer for Wachovia, ultimately retiring with Wells Fargo.

Eileen married Jimmy “Jim” Richard Dabbs in February of 1978. Jim preceded her in death in December of 2013.

Eileen enjoyed puzzles, reading, American history, the beach, and especially Christmas. She was deeply patriotic and loved her family and friends. She was kind and her life will continue to be cherished by the many people whom she touched.

Eileen is survived by her son, James Lewis Dabbs, and her two grandchildren, Georgia Grace Dabbs and Wyatt James Dabbs.

Eileen’s memorial service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 12:00pm (noon) at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park at 5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212. The family invites you to join them for a reception following the memorial service.
