Elbert Johnny John Harrison

Harrison was born on April 13, 1919 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to Cora Setzer Harrison and John Finley Harrison. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Navy.

Mr. Harrison was married to the late Clara F. Terry Harrison. He is survived by his sister, Joyce H. Lail of Pennsylvania whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one daughter, Rita H. Patterson. He is survived by 10 children, Johnny Harrison (Barbara), Betty Helton (Chuck), Hilda Powell and Jerry Harrison of Lenoir, Michelle Richardson of High Point, Deborah Gillen (Larue) of Alabama, Diane Rabon and Cheri Greer of Florida, and step-daughters, Judy Sells of Maryland and Diana Terry of Texas. Mr. Harrison is survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren that he enjoyed.

Mr. Harrison's last years were spent at home with loving care takers that always commented on how appreciative he was for their kindness and care.

Mr. Harrison's family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Friday, December 3rd at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home in Charlotte, NC, followed by a graveside service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with military honors.
