Born in Gastonia, NC on December 5, 1926, she was one of seven children born to Perry Louie Jordan and Cynthia Ella Black Jordan.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church and was a retired proof reader from the former W. A. Buening Co.
Her husband, Paul Edward Campbell, preceded her in death.
Survivors include six children, Patricia (Tore) Aackerlund of Muenster, TX, Peggy (William) Almond, Sidney “Ted” (Nicole) Campbell, Timothy (Delisa Crowder) Campbell, Terry Edward Campbell and Priscilla (Edgar “Skip”) Norris all of Charlotte; a sister, Nancy Jane Smith of Charlotte; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and her special cat, Beanie.
Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at McEwen Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek road, Charlotte, NC 28262.
Graveside services are planned for 11:00 am Thursday at Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 4700 Beatties Ford road, Charlotte, NC 28216.
