Precious Eric, you will never be far from my heart. I still think of you every day!! I see your smile and will never forget our last hug!! I miss you!! I will always love you son.

Eric was not only my best friend, he was my brother, he was family. I first met Eric when we were around 11 or so. I have so many memories of trips, hanging out,and just spending time together. I played a lot of soccer with Eric as we were on the high school team together. He always had my back and was always my biggest supporter in the game. When i think about it, he was one of my biggest supporters in life period. Not a day goes by that i do not think of you or miss you, Eric. You impacted my life in such a major way and i am so thankful to have ever known you and let alone become so close with you. I will never ever forget the huge and special bond we had.You were taken from us entirely too soon, but you are at peace, and how can i argue with that. Love you so much and will miss you every day that goes by. You will always be my family, my best friend, my brother. Love always.

Eric I think about you every day that goes by. Your light touched so many lives including mine!!! I will always love you!!!!

Eric was one of the first,(I believe he was the first), youth who was trained to work in the Audio Visual booth at our Church - University City SDA. He was the trail blazer in this area for our young people, many others have been trained since then. We miss him!

Eric and I went to First Assembly together since we were in middle school and I have so many memories of those days. I think it was about 8th grade when we were playing soccer and I shot the ball, it took a bounce, and he caught it in the chest and the force knocked him flat on his butt. He looked up and his face was in total shock. It was pretty priceless. But from then on he would always brag about me with that story, even though it was kind of embarrassing for him. Any time someone would question my ability to play soccer he would be like "Oh yeah?? Well.." And recite the story again with a big satisfying grin on his face. In high school, he was the manager for the girls soccer team and I was the manager for the guys. We went to all of each other's games and senior year we were especially pumped for the season to start. Eric came up with the idea that he was going to make a shirt with my name and number on it and wear it to all my games. At first, I wasn't sure if he would remember it since my season was still a couple months away, but sure enough on that very first game day he showed up wearing this bright yellow shirt with my name and number on it. I had my own personal "number-one fan" for the entire season and it was so incredible. Every time I scored a goal, I would point to him and he would show off his shirt like it was the NFL and I had just scored a touchdown. At the end of the season, he gave me the shirt and wrote a beautiful sentiment on the back of it. Hands down my most treasured gift of all time. He was truly an incredible friend and I am very thankful for the time I got to spend with him over to past 10 or so years. He was a total goofball but he inspired me and taugh me a lot of valuable lessons throughout our friendship. I'll never forget you, love you always.

Eric always treated us as family and we enjoyed his company and entertainment at all the family functions. Our grandson, Preston, was very fond of Eric and we found out at the funeral they liked the same foods. We will miss you Eric and we shall always love your mom and dad. Amelia and Harold Tadlock

When i started at first assembly, my freshman year in 2009, Eric was a senior. I was immediately intrigued by him because of his obvious sense of humor and amazing skills on the soccer field. I thought he was the best thing that I had ever laid eyes on. I knew that he didn't see me in the same way, but his kind heart never made me feel it. 
He took me on a date that year. Probably one of the most memorable dates I will ever go on. 
We went to see Taken. We were driving down WT Harris, when all of a sudden his breaks went out. Neither of us knew what to do; we were just hoping for an easy out, until we saw a semi in front of us..... Long story short, we wound up slamming into the back of this semi-truck, making it not only one of my first dates, but also my first car accident. 
I dont have many memories with Eric past my freshman, his senior year of high school.... But what I do remember is the light he brought in to every single room he walked in. We got in to a car accident and he still managed to finish off the night with smiles.  
His heart was gold, his personality was one in a hundred, and his sense of humor was icing on the cake. 

Eric, his family, and many true friends are all in my prayers. God is with you all in this hard time, even though it probably doesn't feel like it. My deepest condolences. Truly a life lost too early.... RIP Eric.

Eric was an extraordinary young man. I had the honor of coaching Eric in soccer during his time at First Assembly High School. Early on during his first season, with me, I nicknamed him FLASH. He was agile, fast, fearless, and a great leader. He kept the team pumped up with his positive attitude. He played each game believing we would win. Flash had a smile that affected all those around him and a personality that made any space he was in happier. He stood out as an amazing keeper making all conference and had all the qualities a coach hopes for in a player. Flash above all else was a leader. His presence changed the environment he was in for the better. My time with him and the talks we shared will forever be dear to my heart and I will miss him tremendously. He will always be a part of my team, my soccer family, and my friend.

Joan & Steve, there are no words for the sorrow and heart break my heart is experiencing.  It is overwhelmingly devastating to lose my sweet friend Eric.  I will never forget him or his smile or the sparkle in his eyes.  I will never forget his baptism nor the Mother's Day flower he gave me so many years ago.  That act of love will forever be in my heart as one of the highlights of my life.  We are here for both you - regardless of time or day - whenever you need a shoulder or someone to scream to call me!  I will always love Eric and will always remember the last time I saw him smiling and the big best bear hug ever, he gave me!!!  Eddie & Diana McLemore

I was one of Eric's teachers at FACS. I will always remember Eric as the class clown with a heart of gold. He filled the room with his personality, and he was everyone's friend. My prayers go out to his family at this time. May God keep you in his arms and comfort you as you mourn His new angel.
