Essie King Shealy

Mrs. Shealy, 101, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on July 7, 2011, at The Cove. She was born on October 8, 1909, in Pulaski County, GA, the daughter of the late John Hardy King and Carrie Louvenia Brown King.

Essie was married in Savannah, GA, on September 7, 1940, to Daniel H. Shealy, who along with her two sisters, Bessie K. Nease and Dessie K. Doolittle, have preceded her in death.

Mrs. Shealy had been the manager of My Shops, Inc, for 17 years, and later the manager of the Deb Shop. She joined Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on July 15, 1951, where she was a devoted member of the Altar Guild and the Fred Ramseur Sunday School Class.

The funeral service will be held at the mausoleum at Sharon Memorial Park at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, with Pastor Nancy Kraft officiating.
