Esther Jennifer Simmons-Hamilton, 46, of Pineville passed away on November 8, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer. Jennifer was born in Trinidad and Tobago on June 30, 1970 to the late William and Estina Jack Simmons. She moved to North Carolina in the 1990’s where she attended both Livingstone College and UNC Pembroke, obtaining her Master’s Degree in Accounting.
Jennifer loved to dance, cook, and shop, a true Sale Diva, but most of all, she loved her family and the time spent with them. Jennifer was a coordinator at Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center and most recently, an account administrator with KPMG.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 9 years, Joe Hamilton; sons, Tyriq Simmons and Noah Simmons-Hamilton and daughter, Salare Simmons Hamilton; sisters, Karen Williams, Vanessa Simmons-Hospidales and Sharon Luke and her brother, Alfred Simmons.
A service to celebrate Jennifer’s life we be held at on Saturday November 12 at 11:00 am immediately followed by a reception and visitation at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. Burial will follow at Crown Memorial Park, 9620 Rodney Street, Pineville, NC 28134.
