Eunice McCoy

Eunice, 94, went to be with her loving Savior, November 4, 2016. Born July 7, 1922 in York County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Edgar Thurman Watson and Veda Falls Watson and beloved wife of her late husband, Edwin R. McCoy Jr.

Eunice graduated from Berryhill High School and received a BA in Business Administration from Queen’s College. She assisted her late husband for many years in the operation of McCoy Service Company and Cavalier Service Company. Eunice was a gentle loving person who was loved greatly by her family. She was also a long-time member of Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church.

She is survived by son, Edwin R. McCoy III; son, Gary W. McCoy and wife Cathy; and son, H. Michael McCoy and wife LuAnne; grandchildren, Laura Goodyear and husband Zach, Patrick McCoy and wife Caty, Ian McCoy, and Dylan McCoy; four great-grandsons, Knox and Hayes Goodyear, and Jack and Charlie McCoy. She is also survived by her sister, Sally Graf, and her brother, H. Bradford Watson and wife Mary; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Watson and Dr. Carolyn Watson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Edgar B. Watson and wife Virginia, Dr. Frank Y. Watson and Harvey L. Watson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick, Ian and Dylan McCoy and Zach Goodyear.

A service to celebrate Eunice’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, 1117 South Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28203. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
