Eveline Vara Jenks passed away at Mercy Hospital on July 23,2013 at the age of 90. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Eveline was the most amazing woman in the world who loved to cook and could make anyone smile. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Rufus Jenks; daughters Jennifer Richey, Gloria Caldwell and husband (Tee), Debbie Jenks; two sisters, Fay Honeycutt and Mary Susan Thornton. She had eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by two sons Rudy Jenks and Steve Jenks. Eveline will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 27, 2013, at 2PM in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Home, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208, with visitation following interment.
