Evelyn S. Goodwin, 99, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Monday,the 16th of August, 2021 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. Evelyn was born in Charlotte, NC on the 16th of February, 1922 to the late Stephen and Lilly Summerville. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, James L. “Hank” Goodwin.
In her early years, she loved horseback riding and attending horse shows. She enjoyed doing crochet and watching old television Westerns. Evelyn was associated with Pelton & Crane Dental Products for sixteen years. Evelyn was a long time member of Berryhill Baptist Church where she was very active and loved her Church family.
A visitation will be held 1:30 PM, Monday, the 23rd of August, 2021 in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West Funeral Service. A Funeral service to honor her life will follow at 2:00 PM. She will then be laid to rest beside her beloved “Hank”.
