He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Jeri Sherrill; three children, Lindy Jones, Jerry Dean Kirkpatrick (Linda), and Kelly Newton (Kurt); four grandchildren, Chris Sherrill, Kayla Walker, Kimberly Newton, and Kody Newton; two great-grandchildren, Blakely Walker and Theodore Lucas.
He was a truck driver for Jones and Yellow Freight trucking lines. He loved to hunt and also loved NASCAR. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church. Lynn was a part of the Masonic Lodge #289 as a 32ND Degree Mason.
