Frances Gabrielle Doyle

Mrs. Doyle, age 92, left the world peacefully on Sunday June 16, 2013. She resided at Willow Grove Independent Retirement Community in Matthews. Frances was an accomplished artist, bridge player, bowler, golfer and most gracious hostess in her earlier years. When her children were young she was a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout leader, school, church and hospital volunteer. Frances was an avid boater and traveler. Mrs. Doyle was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Mint Hill. She was a wonderful mom, wife and friend to many.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, John and their three children, Kathleen Mundle and son-in-law, George, of Charlotte, Ginny Edelen and son-in-law, Bill, of Charlotte and Shannon Doyle and daughter-in-law, Mary, of Alexandria VA; a sister, Marge Mollenhauer of Stuart, FL; three grandchildren, Jenefer Edelen, John Edelen and granddaughter-in-law, Alia, and Deanna Doyle; a great- grandson, Andrew; and eighteen nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 29th at St. Luke Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill. Internment and reception will follow at the church.
