Frances S Purcell

She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Lenton Purcell; her father, Ashley Dennis Smith; her mother, Kitty Ann Smith; son, Johnny Joseph Basden and wife Jana; great-great grandson, King Connell; four brothers; and five sisters.

Mrs. Purcell is survived by her children, James Ashley Basden (Mary Ann), Janie Basden Puckett (Tony), Judy Carol Wright (Ron) and adopted daughter, Frances Cheatham; also surviving are her grandchildren: Johnny, Jason, J.D., Jean, Joan, James, Jason Benjamin, Crickett, Jeaneane, Julie; great-granchildren: Jana, Joydan, Dustin, Bryce, Alexis, Hannah, Brittany; and one great-great-grandchild; Axel King.

Frances owned and operated the Fountain & Concessions at Park Place Pharmacy on Providence Road for many years, and continued to work as a Home Health Nurse until retiring at 80. Mother lived a Godly life, teaching her children well, and made sure that her grandchildren knew about the love of God. She led by her example of love.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October, 16, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm at Harry & Bryant. The funeral service will be at Central Church of God, 10 am Friday, October 17, with entombment following at Sharon Memorial Park.
