

Mr. Mack graduated from Belmont Abby College in 1966 with a degree in Physical Education. He served in the NC Air National Guard, was a volunteer fireman at the Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Department. Frank worked at WBTV as a cameraman and advertising salesman. He also worked at WCCB-TV in advertising sales. After retirement, he worked at Hyatt’s Gunshop. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Charlotte Rifle & Pistol Club and NRA. He realized a life-long dream by traveling to Africa for a safari. As a favorite pastime, he loved to cook and eat Lebanese food from his mother’s recipes. He was also a huge Carolina Panther and Duke Blue Devil fan. He was the first President of the Metrolina Phoenician Club.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Samantha Mack, and her fiancé, Mike Baskin. He is also survived by his brother, John J. Mack and his wife Christy; his nieces Jenna Mack, Lynda Robinson, Jane Mack, Elaine Knight, Beth Collins, Amanda Amon; nephews John, Steve, Richard, Steve, Charles Wilson, George, Rick, Scot, Chris and Kevin; Samantha’s “sisters” Whitney Ellsworth, Jennifer Nesbit and Danielle Russell. He is also survived by a huge extended family whom he loved and cherished very much.
Frank is preceded in death by his siblings, Theodore, Philp, George, Charles “Lewis”, Clara and Cinnie Powell.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 25, at 6:30pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. A reception celebrating Frank’s life will be held following the Mass.
