Frankie Smith

Born on February 5, 1929, in Leeds, Alabama, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charlie and Rosetta Posey.

Frankie built a warm and joy-filled life rooted in love, family, and friendship. She married the love of her life, Roger, and together they raised four children—Teena, Paul, Sandra, and Eldyn.

Frankie was witty, beautiful, and endlessly nurturing. She had a vivacious personality that could brighten any room with a kind, generous spirit that drew people close. Known for her love of hosting gatherings, she created a home where friends and family came together to share laughter, stories, and unforgettable meals.

Frankie’s legacy lives on in the countless hearts she touched with her warmth, humor, and grace. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Frankie was predeceased by her husband, Roger Smith.

She is survived by her children, Teena Gist, Sandra Smith-Noel, Paul Smith, and Eldyn Smith; grandchildren, Dr. Marcus Noel (Dr. Shri Noel) and Cana Chin (Brandon Chin); great grandchildren, Micah and Savannah Noel; sister, Ozenia Edmonds; nieces, Jean Edmonds, Wanda Washington, and Tina Jones; nephew, John Wills; The Joyner Family and a host of nieces and nephews.
