

Fred was a WWII Veteran and served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater in Burma. He was a patriot and loved the United States of America.
One of Mr. Clark’s proudest moments was having his rendering of the proposed NFL Stadium in Uptown Charlotte, NC featured on the front page of the Charlotte Observer on September 12, 1989. His rendering is now known as Bank of America Stadium.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife Lidy Geesing Reynders Clark; sisters Ollo Paige, Mary Hester Eller, Jamie Tolbert, Kate Hoots and Shirley Lowe; brothers Wade Clark, Wake Clark; stepsons Harry Pearson, Benny Reynders; stepgrandson Spencer Reynders. He is survived by brother Bill Clark of North Wilkesboro, NC, a host of children and stepchildren Loretta Pearson of Seattle, WA, Henka Foley of Midland, NC, Willie Hoeflick of Jamestown, NC, Pieter Reynders of Rock Hill, SC, Ron Reynders of Lake Wylie, SC,Freddy Reynders of Chester, SC, Lydia Mumpower of Matthews, NC. He will also be remembered as “Gramps” or “Grandpa” to 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC beginning at 11:00am. Service will follow in the Mausoleum Chapel beginning at 12:00pm.
The family would like to thank the Veterans Administration for caring for Mr. Clark and also Kelly Snipes of Visiting Angels for being a friend and caregiver for the past three years.
