Mrs. Helms, 78, of Salisbury, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 17, 1932 to the late Claudia Floyd and Tom Altman. Once a resident of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Helms worked for Southern Bell for more than thirty years.
The family will greet friends Monday, September 27, 2010 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helms will be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
Mrs. Helms was a kind and loving mother and is survived by her two sons and one daughter: Marvel Caudle, Barry and wife, Dianne Helms and Patrick (Tim) and wife, Margurite (Rita) Helms; four grandchildren: Ashley and her husband, Jessie Martin, Johnathan and Lauren Caudle and Samantha Helms; two great grandchildren: Wyatt and Jarrett Martin; three sisters: Elma Miller, Thelma Housand and Hazel Shelly and a brother, Tom Altman, Jr. A very special friend and former husband, Jimmy Helms and several nieces and nephews.
