George Edward Long Sr. Passed away Friday February 27, 2015, he was born on May 26, 1947 to the late Carl and Edna Long in Charlotte, NC. George served in the Armed Forces, in the US Army and spent his life working as an electrician.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a brother Harry Stone and a sister Ethel Dixon. Left to cherish the memories of his life are his wife of 45 years Debra Lynn Long, sons; George Edward Long Jr., Kevin Lee Long, Jan Michael Long and Johnny Sipsis, daughter; Aprill Michelle Long, a brother Henry Long and two sisters; Carleen Nivens and Shirley Dillard, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery at 2:00pm, the family will receive friends from 12:30 to1:45 pm prior to the service.
