A native of Lumberton, NC, Mrs. Brackett was born to the late Ernest Lee and Evelyn Mayes Lee on November 7, 1937. She retired from Travelers Insurance after 30 years of service. Mrs. Brackett was preceded in death by her husband, Dickie Brackett in 2006 and by her brother, E.P. Lee.
Mrs. Brackett is survived by her children, Jeffrey Brackett, Sandy Foster and husband Joe all of Charlotte; brothers, Franklin Lee of Charlotte, Robert, Jerry and Roger Dale Lee all of Lumberton; grandchildren, Connie Lee Burney, Cody Lee Brackett, Dillon and Alaina Foster; great-grandchildren, Weston and Macie Burney.
A funeral service will be held 2:00p.m., Friday, June 26 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte with Dr. Joe Brown officiating. No graveside committal will be held. The family will receive friends 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., Thursday, June 25 at the funeral home.
