Harold Levon Green

Harold Levon Green, 77, of Kings Mountain, formerly of Mooresville, passed away January 21, 2026 in his home. Born March 2, 1948 in Charlotte, he was the son of the late Harold Cecil and Maggie Lee (Johnson) Green.

He attended West Mecklenburg High School and later served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a long and short distance truck driver for numerous years in the Charlotte area.

Harold enjoyed being on the farm, sitting on his front porch viewing Kings Mountain and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Harold (Michele) K. Green and Missy (Steve) Downs; stepchildren, Chris Joy and Kim (Greg) Ganous; grandchildren, Alexis (Cameron) Ganous, Caitlyn (Cody) Reeves, Miranda (Sawyer) Lee, Abby (Travis) Van Aken, Austin (Megan) Breeden, Devin (KJ) Breeden, Destiny (Casey) Lazenby and Lauren (Dalton) McGalliard; great-grandchildren, Anna Kate, Sutton, Emerson, Messer, Graham, Canaan, Dawson, Ada Rose, Walker, Catherine and two on the way; sister, Pat Caskey; along with numerous nieces and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his prior wife, Elaine Latham.

A visitation for Harold will be held Friday, January 30, 2026 from 12 pm until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 pm in the chapel of McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
