

Born February 9, 1942, in Charlotte NC. Harvey attended York Road High School in Charlotte, NC.
A Vietnam War veteran, Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Army. His service reflected the strength, loyalty, and love for his country that defined his life.
Harvey was a member of the Paul Drayton Masonic Lodge #7 for 50 years. His outstanding service where they named a class after him called The Harvey White Jr. Class; the VFW #9488, and The American Legion Past Commander 262; where he was awarded the Legionnaire of the Year Award and the Distinguished Service Award for the disabled veterans.
After retiring, Harvey continued to spend time with his lovely wife and his family. He loved taking family trips, spending time with his children and his grandchildren, they were the joy of his life. He also enjoyed watching The Carolina Panthers play football, watching Western Movies and The Maury show. He will be remembered for the love that he had for his wife and his family, skills, generosity, and willingness in helping anyone in need.
Mr. Harvey White Jr. is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Nellie Ann White; his children; Marilyn Getty-Mcallister of Brooklyn New York, Samuel Walker, of Texas, Shelia Morris and Michelle Mungo of Charlotte, Angela Mckay, Otto (Charlene) McMillan, Audrey (William) Giddens, Bertha McMillan all of Charlotte, NC; his sister, Annie Mae Sanders, along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Harvey cherished his special love for his extended family, his granddaughter, Tarsha Allgood and grandson, Devon Walls. He cherished his friendship with Army buddy, James Stone for over 60 years. They served in the military together and have been friends ever since. He also cherished his friendship with his dear friend, Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey White Sr and Estella Allen White and his sister, Louise Streeter.
Harvey will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, and the world's best grandfather, proud veteran and a man of unwavering integrity.
A visitation for Harvey will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of his funeral service at 11:00 AM in the chapel of McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
