Hattie Lee Stutts

A native of Charlotte, Mrs. Stutts was born to the late Parks Overcash and Mattie Simpson Overcash on March 27, 1932. She graduated from Derita High School where she also played basketball. Mrs. Stutts played basketball in the senior games, was a cheerleader for the senior games and enjoyed bowling. She was a member of Cole Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stutts was preceded in death by siblings, Lewis Overcash, Frances McKee and Patricia Kerns.

Mrs. Stutts is survived by her husband, Grady Arlee Stutts of Charlotte; by daughters, Diane Bizzell of Charlotte, Cathy Fletcher and husband Scott of Cornelius; sister, Dorothy Willocks of Charlotte; grandchildren, James and Josh Bizzell, Ashley Falcone, Crystal Figaro, Bryan Fletcher; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kyrsten Figaro, Lydia and Alexander Bizzell, Grady and Waylon Fletcher and Claire Falcone.

The funeral service will be held 1:00p.m., Friday, November 20 at Cole Memorial United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., Thursday evening at McEwen Funeral Service, Derita Chapel, 6300 Mallard Creek Rd., Charlotte.
