Helen Pegram Sprinkle age 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the morning of December 7th, 2012. She died peacefully in her sleep and by her son Randy’s account, was happy and alert two days earlier. She was born on September 4, 1927, the daughter of James M. Pegram and Bertha S. Pegram. Helen was a kind-hearted, gentle wife, mother, grandmother and mother in law. She and Buck, her loving husband of 63 years, made everyone feel welcome in their home, and in their lives.
Helen always put others first, making everyone feel special. If you dropped by to visit, she would likely fix you something to eat while you were there. She was more interested in listening than talking. She never forgot a birthday, and would buy little things she thought you would like months, or even years ahead of time.
She loved her precious grandchildren; Mitchel, Daniel, Mallory and Noah. Due to her illness, she did not get the chance to know her adorable great grandson, Hayden. She is preceded in death by her sister Mabel, who went to be with her Lord earlier this year.
Survivors include her faithful husband Buck, son Randy and his wife Darlene; daughter Tanja; son Brent and his wife Karen. The fore mentioned grandchildren and brother in law, Odell Sprinkle.
Services for this gentle soul will be Monday December 10th, 2012 at the Church of Christ, 4338 N. Sharon Amity Road, Charlotte, NC. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M., followed by funeral services at 2:00P.M., with Rod Dean and Dick Stilley officiating. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park. Pallbearers accompanying the casket will be Mitchel Sprinkle, Daniel Sprinkle, Noah Sprinkle, Mark Sprinkle and Fred Katz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Condolences to the family may be offered at www.mcewenpinevillechapel.com.
