

Hiero Louis Taylor, IV, eldest son of Norma Roberts Taylor and Hiero Louis Taylor, III, died at his home in Indian Land, South Carolina on June 5, 2015. He was 61, born in Burgaw, North Carolina on January 12, 1954. He grew up in Charlotte, attending Dilworth, Sedgefield, Alexander Graham, Myers Park, and UNC-Charlotte and majored in physics.
One of his first jobs was running the Physics Lab at CPCC. He also worked for the Red Cross and Dial Page. His true avocation was building. He worked on many homes in Charlotte and Kure Beach. His sister's home in Indian Land showcases his craftsmanship with beautiful cedar and Italian tile details.
Louis was a natural athlete. He loved to swim, dive, ski, and run. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers at Kure Beach and Bald Head. Music was an important part of his life. His favorite performers were Tim Murray, Jimmy and Larry Duckworh, and The Rolling Stones, He loved rock, jazz, and country music.
Louis is survived by his parents, Catherine Taylor Metz (sister), Marion Pepper Taylor (brother), James Edwin Taylor (brother), William Louis Taylor (nephew), a beloved extended family, and many loyal friends.
Please celebrate his life and his belief in God at the McEwen Pineville Chapel on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Visitation is at 11:00 AM. The service starts at noon. Burial will be private at Crown Memorial Park.
