Howard Eugene Knox Jr.

Mr. Knox, age 69, of Kannapolis, died Monday, August 17, 2015 at Rex Hospital. Born February 16, 1946 in Kannapolis, he was a son of Thelma Barton Knox and the late Howard Eugene Knox, Sr. Mr. Knox served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired Restaurant Chef.

The service to celebrate the life of Howard Eugene Knox, Jr. will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Marable Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 400 Huron Street, Kannapolis, with Dr. William McKenith, officiating. Graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday in Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

In addition to his mother, survivors include six children, Gary Grant, Cornelius Darnell Knox, Sr., Debbie Jean Knox Sandling, Howard E. Knox, III, Yulander Knox Dawson and Orlaunder Knox; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two brothers, Lester Knox and Tony Knox. Mr. Knox was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Faye Knox; a daughter, LaShelle Knox; and a sister, Peggy Knox.
