Mr. Page was born on November 25, 1930 to the late William Thomas Page and Ethel Still Page. He graduated from Albemarle High School in 1948 and served in the Navy from 1951-1954 during the Korean War. Mr. Page was a Second Class Petty Officer and Damage Controlman aboard the USS Colonial while in the Navy and was also a Navy boxer. He married Doris Barnes on December 8, 1956 in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Mr. Page was an Insurance Adjuster and worked in trucking for over 30 years. He loved organic gardening, fishing at the pond, being on the tractor and the chainsaw.
Mr. Page is survived by his wife Doris Barnes Page; by children, Sherwood Page, Dawn Hrdlick (John), Roger Page; siblings, Bill Page of Matthews, Theresa Newman of Albemarle; grandchildren, Matt (Heather), Nikki (Jeremy), Josh (Alison), Emma; great-grandchildren, Mike, Chris, Morgan, Zoe, Elle and Ronan.
