Inez Hannah Spurrier

A career homemaker, Mrs. Spurrier worked briefly at Montgomery Hospital; S & W Cafeteria; Westerly Hills Elementary School cafeteria and in childcare.

She was a life-long member of several churches in Montgomery County, the most recent at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Biscoe. She was a proud and active member of the Harding High School Athletic Booster Club from 1980 to 2005.

She is survived by her husband, Joe “J.B.” Spurrier; daughters, Lorraine Benfield and spouse Jeff, of Charlotte; Suzette Leonard and spouse Al, of Tabor City; grandchildren, Clint McGinnis, Tiffany Long, Hannah Leonard, Abigail Leonard; great grandchildren, Parker Long, Avery Long and MaKayla McGinnis.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in The Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West with Reverend Jeff Pinkston officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Novant Hospice & Palliative Care, P O Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233.
