James Robert Johnson Jr.

.Charlotte - James R. Johnson, age 85, passed away May 17, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Keltner Johnson and son, Michael Johnson. Jim was a graduate of Buckingham County High School in Virginia where he grew on his family’s farm.

Jim was a new car salesman in Charlotte for 40 years, and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving as a staff sergeant. He was an avid car enthusiast, a die-hard Cowboys fan who enjoyed watching football on television and enjoyed hunting and being in the great outdoors. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church for many years and volunteered with The Loaves and Fishes Ministry for 20 years.

He is survived by his son, Robert Johnson and wife Ronale; grandson, Matt and wife Nancy and grandson, Daniel; great-grandson, Jackson Brown; daughter-in-law, Penny Johnson; and granddaughter, Hope.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, May 21st at Calvary United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
