James E. Primm

Mr. Primm, age 88, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011. He was born March 8, 1923 in Charlotte, North Carolina the son of the late John Primm and Goldie Lawing Primm. He is preceded in death by his wife Martha C. Primm; son, Patrick Primm; daughter, Patrica Primm; and sister, Myrtle Williams.

Mr. Primm served his country in the United States Army during WW II and was stationed in Italy. After he arrived home he furthered his education with a degree from NC State University in Architecture. He had a deep passion for Architecture and woodworking; he was a talented cabinet maker and also made toys for his children. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Surviving are daughters; Pam Sparrow and husband Jimmy and Penny Norris and husband Darrell; grandchildren, Jacob Sparrow, Lori Sparrow and Shannon Norris; brothers, Joe Primm and Brodie Primm; and sister, Freda Jones.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2011 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 1915 Oakdale Road, Charlotte, NC. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family would like to thank the Charlotte VA Clinic for their wonderful care of Mr. Primm. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
