Bill was predeceased by his parents, James William Thrower, Sr. and Essie Mae Jones Thrower, and his son James "Jim" William Thrower, III.
Those left to cherish Bill's memory are his wife Linda, Jim's children: son Justin Thrower, wife Lea Thrower, and son Jackson Thrower of (Summerville, SC), daughter Brooke Capes, husband Phillip Capes, sons Olin Capes, Perry Capes, and Emory Capes (Newborn, GA), and Bill's daughter, Julie Thrower Klingensmith, husband David Klingensmith, daughter(s) 1. Christina Klingensmith Pruitt, husband Will Pruitt, daughter(s) June Pruitt, Leighanne Pruitt, Abigail Pruitt (Athens, GA), 2. Victoria Klingensmith Conyers, husband Zach Conyers, son(s) Colt Conyers and Cade Conyers, 3. Kathryn Klingensmith, fiance’ Eric Wilhelm; one sister Betty Gums, one brother Jack Thrower, and several generations of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Home, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210.
The burial will immediately follow at Pineville City Cemetery, 200 Lowery St., Pineville, NC, 28134.
