Janice Althea Thompson, age 71 passed away in her home on October 10, 2022. She was born March 28, 1951 to her parents William Ford Sergeant First Class and Bertha Wyonella Ford. Janice attended West Charlotte High School and later Bennett College.
Janice loved to learn. She enjoyed reading and exploring new information. Janice never liked to be the center of attention but would always become the star of the room. She was a talented creative and enjoyed sewing, writing, and jewelry making in her past time.
For many years, Janice worked as an educator. She was driven by a passion to help others and believed the world could always use one more kind-hearted person. Her life was a living example of selflessness and compassion. Janice will be remembered for her spirit and loving heart.
Janice is survived by her daughter Takiyah (Jorge), Takiyah’s father Henry, and her fur baby Cooper.
