Jason Patrick Lovell (48), passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024, with his mother and spouse lovingly by his side. He was born August 9, 1975, to William and Kathryn Lovell in Pulaski, VA. Jason and his family relocated to Charlotte where Jason spent most of his childhood. He graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and furthered his education at North Carolina State University, where he achieved a bachelor’s degree in Zoology in 1996.
After college, Jason pursued a career in the banking and investment industry. He held various positions over the years at reputable companies like Wachovia, UVest, LPL Financial, First Citizens and until his last employer of Ally Financial, where he lead a team of financial services representatives. Jason was known by his colleagues as a coach, leader and someone who had a unique talent in bringing out the best in others.
In 2016 Jason married Lawrence Evans in Kona, Hawaii. They made a life in South Charlotte where they enjoyed getaways to Asheville, NC, attending live music concerts, and time well spent with family, friends, and neighbors.
Jason had an enormous heart, wonderful sense of humor, and wit and charm. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through his life and career experiences. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with his friends and family. His canine companions were dear to him. Myles and Tess have stayed behind with Lawrence, but his furry kids that have already crossed the “rainbow bridge” Joey and Manny are on a long walk with him now in heaven. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by Lawrence Evans, spouse; Kathryn Lovell, mother; John Lovell, brother; Ann Lovell, sister-in-law; and Tammy Ardila, sister-in-law. He is also survived by his nieces, Grace Lovell, Isabella Ardila, and Juliana Ardila. He was preceded in death by his father, William Lovell.
Services will be held at Providence Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 1:30 pm followed by a reception in the church campus’ Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to these organizations for a cause Jason felt strongly about based on his own personal health journey the last year and a half.
