JAYVON MALIK SHERMAN, one of God’s many gifts to his parents. Jayvon was the typical kid…funny, not so funny, bad, good, loving, kind, mean, inquisitive, nosey, noisy, stubborn, strong-willed, hyper, extrovert, introvert, adoring, annoying, mouthy, obedient, disobedient, goofy, smart, not-so-smart, mischievous, selfish, giving, charismatic, suave, fashionable, cool, outgoing, adventurous, scary, brave, cautious, rude, courteous, kind, lazy, leader, follower, ambitious, sad, happy, LOVING, LOVING, LOVING…the typical, but not-so-typical kid. Jayvon…a kid who loved life.
Even though young, Jayvon had a keen sense for life. Jayvon enjoyed life and had a love for many things which included basketball, video games, football, karate, running track and lots of junk food. Jayvon had dreams, goals and aspirations. Jayvon dreamed of one day becoming a famous rapper. Jayvon’s goal was to obtain his driver’s license in the very near future. Jayvon’s aspiration was to join Central High School’s track team in the upcoming spring season. Jayvon was on the right path to success and would have succeeded had he been allowed the opportunity to continue to shine.
Jayvon’s first and most important love was that of family and friends. Jayvon loved spending time with both, and did so as much as possible. Jayvon was an awesome brother to his siblings, an awesome cousin to those related by blood or through friendship, a loved and adored grandson and nephew, and a dedicated and loyal friend.
Jayvon Malik Sherman now watches over his parents, Khadijah and Gamar Taylor. Jayvon was, and will always be the Son who taught his parents what unconditional love is. Jayvon was, and will always be the Son who taught his parents the joys, anguish, fears, hopes, dreams, desires, tears, smiles, laughter, trials, disappointments and pride of parenthood. That through the good, bad and ugly…LOVE IS ETERNAL!
