Jean (Jeanie) Summers McClure of Charlotte, NC, passed away December 16, 2023. She was born on Feb 25, 1941, in Henderson, KY and was preceded in death by her loving husband William David McClure (Billy D). They were married for 58 years at his passing in 2021. She is survived by her two sons; David (Tracy) McClure of Charlotte and Paul (Tammy) McClure of Birmingham, AL, and grandchildren; Kevin (Katelyn), Justin (Libby), Cameron (Lauren), Katelyn, and Collin McClure and Madison (Michael) Ruth.
Jean taught 4th and 5th grade for over 30 years, most recently at Bain Elementary in Mint Hill. She had a positive influence on many students and was especially talented at helping gifted and special education students reach their potential.
Private services were held for the family at Sharon Memorial Park.
