Jennine "Jenny" Danielle Brown

Jennine (Jenny) Danielle Brown, 45, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, after a grueling 11-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on July 20, 1978, and was one of four children to Jim and Jan Hasty. Jenny invited Jesus into her heart at a very young age and we are comforted to know that she is now with Him forever. Jenny married her best friend and soulmate, Chris Brown, on October 26, 2013. Although their married years were marred with the burdens of cancer, they always exuded such love and admiration for each other. Their marriage was constantly exemplified by the vow “in sickness and in health.” In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, Jenny absolutely loved spending time with her family and her hilarious black pug, Jerome James Brown. She especially loved traveling, staying in hotels, reality TV shows, the beach and being the “passenger princess.” Jenny never wanted to miss out on a single thing, either! Most of the time, she literally forced herself to spend quality time with us, even though she felt awful. And now it is our turn to miss out on the greatest adventure of her life in being reunited with her beloved Momma in paradise. Jenny fought a good fight. The victory is now hers…

Jenny is survived by her wonderful husband, Christopher Brown, Jr.; her resilient father, Jim Hasty; her stepmother, Renee Hasty; her siblings, Jason and Mirna Hasty, Jodi and Patrick Rhyne, and Julie Hasty; her nieces and nephews, Emma Rhyne, Gracie Rhyne, Drew Rhyne, KaoRi Brown, Zayden Merritt, and Na’veyah Merritt; her in-laws, Elanda and Charles Brown, Christopher (Sr) and Ashley Brown, Cameron Brown, and Flandrea Brown; her aunts and uncles, Rich and Bodil Enderton, Susan and Paul Amundson, and Beverly and Loras Hart; and her adored cousins, Jacob and Lisa Amundson, Sarah Amundson, Becky and Martin Liu, Abigail Amundson, Alex Hammer, Daniel Enderton, Carlijn Mulder, Maria Enderton, Jeff Wasson, and Lori and Ross Marais.

Jenny was predeceased by her mother, Janice Hasty; her grandparents, Hilda and Willard Enderton, and Edward and Margaret Hasty; and her cherished first pug, Jocko.

Her funeral service will be held at Banks Presbyterian Church in Marvin on Saturday, December 30, at 11 am. All are welcome to attend. Jenny had requested a private ash scattering ceremony at Myrtle Beach that will be held later. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance, in honor of Jenny Brown.
