

On July 23, 2012, Reverend Jerry Evans Rowe, 81, of Charlotte, died peacefully in the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born July 28, 1930 and was the son of the late Elmer Evans and Harriet Caroline Herndon Rowe.
At the time of his death, Reverend Rowe was pastor of Charlotte Christian Assembly. As a Pastor and Missionary, he travelled to more than 20 countries around the world. From 1960 to 2001 he pastored many churches of the Endtime Message of Mal. 4:5-6; Rev. 10:1-7 and Luke 17:30.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elsie LeeTurner Rowe, sons, James Daniel Rowe, William David Rowe, Dwight Corn and brother, Horace Rowe.
Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Jerry Evans Rowe, Jr. (Deborah); Stephen Joel Rowe (Audrey); daughters, Sherry Oxendine (Vintrice), Kathleen Hunt (Clinton) and Sharon Whitener (Jimmy); 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Jackie Rowe and sisters-in-law, Mary and Dorothy.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, July 25th at Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Brother Sukhdeo Cyril Mahadeo officiating . The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30pm at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, July 29th at Charlotte Christian Assembly with Brothers Richard Boatwright, Cyril Mahadeo and Matamba Mbayabu officiating.
