Joanner Katherine Hinson Frazier

JoAnner Katherine Hinson Frazier, 76, of Charlotte entered the arms of Jesus on March 19, 2011. She was born April 14, 1934 in Charlotte. JoAnner was in the first graduating class of East Mecklenburg High School and later graduated from Mercy Nursing School in 1953. She retired from Presbyterian Hospital working as a registered nurse in 1995. JoAnner was a proud member of Wesley United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Her passions were her husband, children and grandchildren and telling jokes, many of the same ones over and over and she laughed every time. She also loved flowers, reading and was a master crossword puzzler.

JoAnner is survived by her loving husband of 53-1/2 years, Charles Reid Frazier “Pop”; her 4 children, Charles R. Frazier II, Kenneth N. Frazier and wife Kazuko, Cynthia F. Lillis and late husband Jim Lillis and Steven M. Frazier and wife Tania. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, Reid Austin and wife Amber, Jacob Austin and fiancée Brittany, Kevin Frazier, Katherine Frazier, Matthew Lillis, Michael Frazier and Zack Keller.

JoAnner was loved by all and will truly be missed. Jesus got a great one this day.

Pallbearers will be Reid Austin, Jacob Austin, Kevin Frazier, Matthew Lillis, James Yates and Ebb Buffkin.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 6 – 8 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210. A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 22 at 11 am at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3715 Rea Rd., Charlotte followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park.
