Joe M Plummer, 82 of Charlotte, passed away October 10, 2017. Joe was born in Charlotte on July 18, 1935 to Johnny Plummer and Ila Hilton Plummer. Joe graduated from West Mecklenburg High School. He was a retired truck driver. Joe was also a member of Sunset Road Baptist Church. Joe is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma Plummer; son, Joe Michael Plummer; and brother, Ray Plummer. He is survived by sons, Perry Plummer, wife Tammy, and Mark Plummer, wife Beth; grandchildren, Josh, Jacob and Aaron Plummer, Theresa Bailes, and Timothy and Trevor Burdick; great grandchildren, Miles, Camila, Mason and Darcy Plummer, and Cason, Olivia and Luke Burdick; and sisters, Janet Brown, Evelyn Greene and Brenda Caudle. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 7:00pm at Sunset Road Baptist Church, 2317 Sunset Rd, Charlotte; Reverend Steve Bass to officiate. Visitation will follow the service.
