John D. "Dan" Bryant Jr.

John D. “Dan” Bryant Jr., 74, of Stanley, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. John was born June 8, 1941 in Mt. Holly, Virginia to the late John Bryant Sr. and Mary Garnet Wilkins Bryant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rosie Oxendine Bryant as well as one daughter and one son.

Survivors left to cherish his memories include his daughters Centoya Browder, Teresa Bryant and Bonnie Bryant; son, Danny Bryant; Stepdaughters, Rosa Hamilton and Vicky Jones; brothers, Sonny Bryant and Tony Bryant; sister, Patricia Yerby as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not an option. He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you as you slowly slipped away and though we loved you dearly we couldn’t make you stay. Your “GOLDEN” heart stopped beating and your tired hands were put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the BEST!

A service to celebrate John’s life will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
