

John Ronald Jackson, 92 years old, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on December 21, 2025. John was born on November 21, 1933, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late David Townley Jackson and Alice McMillan Jackson.
John grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he attended Rock Hill High School. After high school, John proudly served in the United States Navy as an elite first responder on the Navy Crash and Salvage Crew at USNAS Whiteing Field in Milton, Florida. He was honorably discharged after three and a half years of service.
Following his military service, he attended Wingate College where he met the love of his life, Argene Morgan. The two were married on June 25, 1955, and shared 65 years of marriage together.
After college, John spent his working career in the food distribution industry as a sales representative for Associated Brokers, Inc. until retiring after 26 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and endearing personality. In his free time, John loved being outdoors, gardening with his wife, spending time at his coastal home, and enjoying time with his friends and family. In his last years, he was a devoted dog owner and greatly cherished his dog, Sunni.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Jackson Pruett and her husband Larry; his grandchildren, Lauren Pruett Strickler, John Pruett and his wife Rochelle, Joseph Pruett and his wife Lauren; and his great grandchildren, Olivia and Amelia Strickler.
John will be remembered for his commitment to his family, his service to his country, and the quiet joys he found in everyday life.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 1:00pm at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.
