Joyce Ann Hunter

Mrs. Hunter, 68, of Charlotte died Monday, June 6, 2011 at her residence. A native of Rutherfordton, NC, she was born on September 17, 1942 to the late Broadus Whitt Johnson and Pearl Lillian Miller Johnson. Mrs. Hunter retired from Interstate-Johnson-Lane after 18 years of service.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:30PM, Thursday, June 9 at Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church with Rev. Danny Blue and Rev. John Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30PM to 8:30PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by her husband, Craig Hunter; two sons, Michael D. Hunter and Jeffrey C. Hunter, both of Charlotte; a daughter, Angela N. Ingram, of Charlotte; one sister, Ruth Lee of Charlotte; three brothers, Lane Hill, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Ray Hill of Stanley, NC, David Hill of Charlotte and two grandchildren, Cassie Ingram and Julia Maddison Hunter.
