Judy was a graduate of Garinger High School and was employed by Freeman & White Architects for over twenty years. She was also employed by FWA Architects until her retirement.
Judy was the daughter of Paul and Jessie Philmon of Charlotte. She was preceded in death by husband Jack Bennett. Judy is survived by brother Tony Philmon (Jill); son John Bennett (Carolyn), Drew Bennett (Tracie); daughter Nancy Jolly (Allan); grandchildren Maxim Bennett, Anton Bennett, Sarah Jolly, William Jolly; nieces and nephews Matt Philmon (Stefanie), Blair Philmon Johnson, Wayland Hiott (Tippi), Charles Hiott, Jonathan Hiott (Gabi).
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 2-3pm at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 3:00pm.
