Kathleen Gibson

Kathleen Wigglesworth Gibson, lovingly known as “Miss Kitty”, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at her home in Charlotte. She was born in Mecklenburg County and was the daughter of Kathleen “Kat” Pittman Wigglesworth and the late Charles Wigglesworth.

Kathleen was a long-time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and worked for more than 35 years there as a daycare teacher.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Chris Gibson and wife Donna and Melissa Willis and husband Dan; grandchildren, Brooke Gibson, Daniel Willis and Sadie Willis; sisters, Sandra Wigglesworth and husband, Dan Wolfe, and Debbie Harkins and husband, Allen and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Claude Leon Gibson and son Craig Gibson.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Kitty’s life will be held at 3:00pm Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Reverend Earl Pennell officiating. Interment will take place prior to the service Thursday at 1:30pm in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
