Keith Wallace Martin

Keith Wallace Martin, 87, of Charlotte, NC departed this earth on August 25, 2012 and went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. He was born on December 31, 1924. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margie Louise Martin. Keith was an amazing father to his twin daughters, Vivian Lou Smith and husband Scott Smith, and Vicki Lee Brown and husband Michael Brown. He was the proud grandfather of Joshua Brown and wife Lauren Brown; Jason Brown and wife April Brown; and Jacob Brown. He had three great-grandsons: Lucas Brown, Mason Brown, and Jackson Brown. Keith will be greatly missed by all, but especially his dedicated and loyal family. He was a loving husband, beautiful father and a man of God. He was truly loved by all that knew him, but now Heaven is blessed with his spirit. Keith was a World War II Veteran and also served in the 82nd Airborne. He loved to read and study the Bible. He also taught RCIA classes. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212. A Service to celebrate his life will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
