Kelly Michelle Madden

Kelly Michelle Madden, aged 46, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at 10:10 AM on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 in Charlotte, NC; she was a victim of a ruthless and aggressive form of cancer. She was a beloved mother, wonderful aunt, fantastic friend, and an endeared member of the community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Kelly was born on March 24th, 1979 in Houma, Louisiana, where she spent her formative years before moving to New Jersey and graduating from Hightstown High School. As an adult, she spent her time as a stay-at-home mother, yoga instructor, and administrative assistant, among other professions.

Throughout her career, she was known to be a fierce competitor, hard worker, and B.S. detector. She loved to cook, workout, keep the house clean, watch T.V., and experience life with her children. Her friends constantly remind those around them that she was the greatest, most down-to-earth friend they have ever had.

Kelly is survived by her two children, Logan and Myla. Logan is a 2025 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, who quit his job and moved home from Philadelphia to spend his last few months with her and her beloved dog, Francis. Myla is a current freshman at the College of Charleston, studying biology. Kelly’s sister, Lee, was also her best friend, and also spent her last few months taking care of her during her battle with cancer.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
