Ken is survived by his son and daughter, Kenneth Pack, Jr., and spouse Kristen Pack, and Morgan Elizabeth Looney, and spouse Steven Looney. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Kennedy Alyssa Pack, whom he loved dearly, along with his mother, Jane Pack, brothers Tim Pack, Jeffrey Pack, and one sister, Kimberly Yarborough. He was preceded in his death by his long-time life partner Tom Scarborough, his twin brother, Kevin Pack or as he referred to him, his “Wombmate”, and his father Alfred Pack.
Ken was an amazing and caring father, dedicated life partner, devoted son, loving brother, and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews. Ken took great pride in his two children, which was clear to everyone he came in contact with due to his constant bragging of their personal and professional achievements.
Ken was always able to make someone smile with a quick, witty, and sometimes borderline inappropriate joke. He cared deeply for everyone he knew, whether it be his family, friends, or his “work family”. Anyone that knew Ken, knew his number one goal was to always make sure those around him were taken care of, and he always put others needs before his own.
Professionally, Ken was in the Mortgage Business for over 35 years and built an extremely successful career through hard work, dedication, and an immense knowledge of the industry. In building his career, Ken continuously focused on making sure those who worked for him were able to achieve great things alongside him. Ken did not just tell people what to do, he showed them how to do it, and why, so they could go on to further hone their skillset.
In addition to his children, Ken also leaves behind his best friend, Felix, his 11 year old pug that never left his side (literally) during this entire ordeal. His love for pets was only matched by his love for his children.
A memorial service with a very limited number of visitors will occur Saturday, the 20th, along with a live streaming service through Facebook, so that everyone who is not able to attend in person will still be able to celebrate Ken’s life. Donations can be made to the local Pug Rescue Center of North Carolina, The Men’s Homeless Shelter, or the ALS Foundation.
