It is with deep gratitude and fond remembrance that we honor the life of Kenneth Evans Wilson (Kenny), who passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, at the age of 62. Born in Pomona, CA, on October 3, 1962, Kenny lived a life marked by love, reflection, and exceptional compassion, bringing warmth and wit to every gathering.
Family was deeply important to Kenny, whose life was shaped by both the love and losses of those close to him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Wilson, his father; Jerry M Wilson Sr.; paternal grandmother, Louise Wilson; maternal grandparents, Anne and Milton Smith; and brother, Robert (Bobby) Norman Wilson.
However, his legacy continues in the hearts of daughter, Brittany Lynne Wilson and grandson, Luka John Sawyer; siblings, Robin W Cromer (Steve Cromer), Jerry M Wilson Jr. (Richard) and Michael Wilson, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF, Retired.
You could not meet Kenny and not be charmed by his personality, charisma, and great sense of humor. Kenny never met a stranger. A unique and reflective soul, Kenny was known for his compassionate heart and unyielding resilience, a combination that made him both an advocate and friend to many. He was a diehard sports and Miami football fan and enjoyed playing golf.
Though Kenny has gone on to a new journey, his spirit will forever touch the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him. In remembering him, we honor the life he led and the love he shared.
A service to honor Kenny’s memory is scheduled for 10 am on Saturday February 8th, 2025 at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel located at 10500 Park Road in Charlotte, NC.
To honor Kenny’s legacy, please consider a donation to SAFE Project (www.safeproject.us).
