Kim Douglas Allen

Mr. Allen was born in England to the late Fred Quince Allen, Jr. and Ivy Rita Essex Allen on February 9, 1952. He retired from Alcatel-Lucent Technologies after 18 years of service. Mr. Allen was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He also enjoyed playing in the Senior Softball League and developed many important friendships there.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Angela Talbott Allen of Davidson; children, Traci Burden (Jerry) of Locust, Ben Allen (Victoria) of Charlotte, Kelly Allen of Chapel Hill; brother, Mark Allen (Leah) of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Madison and Sarah Burden.

A funeral service will be held 11:00a.m., Monday, November 28 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 7200 E. W.T. Harris Blvd., Charlotte with Rev. John Harrill officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 9:30a.m. to 10:45a.m. Monday morning at the church.
