Lee Ann Riedel

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Dec. 13, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Georgianna Ellis Brayton.

Lee Ann graduated from Waverly Shellrock High School in Waverly, Iowa and worked as a paralegal for many years. Eventually, she went on to work for Bank of America where she retired as an Executive Assistant.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

A lover of animals, she was involved in rescuing dogs for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Riedel; a daughter, Christine “Chrissy” Snipes and her husband, Christopher “Chris” Rozak of Kannapolis, NC; a son, Joseph Edward Cufferi and his family; four sisters, Jane Sehnert and her husband, Jack, Mary Kammeyer and her husband, Ken, Marcia Wilkens all of Iowa, and Sara Swanson and her husband, Jeff of New Mexico; a grandson, Hunter Snipes along with three other grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 10 am Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1400 Suther Rd., Charlotte, NC.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by McEwen Funeral Service-Derita Chapel.
